Pencil & eraser
The Pencil and the Eraser let you draw freehand over the map: an arrow to point out the escape, a circle around a spell's area, a quick sketch of an improvised room. Strokes sync with the players when you're LIVE, so everyone sees what you mark.
Drawing with the Pencil
Select ✏️ Pencil on the bar (drawing group). In the context panel choose:
- the stroke colour;
- the line thickness.
Then draw by holding and dragging: the stroke shows as a preview while you trace it and is committed on release. You can make as many strokes as you want.
Erasing with the Eraser
Select 🧽 Eraser and pass over the strokes to remove: the eraser deletes the strokes you touch as you brush across them. In the pencil's context panel you also find Clear all drawings to tidy up in one go.
GM-only drawings
The pencil respects the GM layer: if you draw with 🔒 GM layer on, the stroke is created GM-only and players don't see it (it's rendered with the GM layer's transparency and filtered out of the player views). It's the way to note something on the map without revealing it — a trajectory, a reminder, the edge of a trap. With the GM layer off, instead, the drawing is shared with everyone (when LIVE).
