The toolbar
The toolbar is the column of icons to the left of the map, in the Table staging desk. From here you choose what to do on the scene: move, measure, hide or reveal, turn on Vision, draw, show the grid or switch to the GM layer. Next to the bar there's a context panel that changes with the active tool and shows its options.
How it's organised
The tools are gathered into groups, to keep related things together:
- Selection and measure: ✋ Move (select and drag tokens) and 📏 Ruler (measure distances in squares).
- Visibility: 🌫 Hide (paint fog), ☀ Reveal (remove fog), 👁 Vision (automatic reveal along the line of sight, based on the map's walls).
- Drawing: ✏️ Pencil (freehand stroke) and 🧽 Eraser (delete strokes).
- View: ⊞ Grid (show/hide the grid) and 🔒 GM layer (pawns and drawings visible to you only).
The context panel
To the right of the icons, the panel shows the options of the tool you selected. Some examples:
- With Visibility active: the Hide all / Reveal all buttons, the Vision switch, and — if you've selected a pawn — its eye 👁 and vision radius.
- With the Pencil: the choice of colour and thickness, plus Clear all drawings.
- With the Grid: grid colour and transparency.
- With the GM layer: a dedicated transparency slider, to tell GM-only pawns from normal ones at a glance.
- With the Ruler: a reminder of how to use it (click for waypoints, right-click to close).
The bar is a separate column
The bar doesn't sit on top of the map but in its own column on the left, so it doesn't cover the scene. The map takes the centre; the token tray and session controls are on the right. At the top stays the session bar (room, Online, invite, LIVE, movement lock).
