D&D 5e / Eberron creator

The D&D 5e / Eberron creator is a full step-by-step wizard that walks you through building a character under fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons rules. It works both for a generic setting and for Eberron: the base rules are the same, what changes is the world you set the character in. Like the whole creator, it's free and spends no credits.

The step-by-step wizard

Instead of handing you a blank sheet, the creator guides you in stages: at each step you choose a part of the character and move on. This helps you not forget anything and stay within 5e rules without keeping them all in your head. As you fill things in, the sheet updates with the derived values.

How to proceed
  1. Open the creator and pick the D&D 5e / Eberron system.
  2. Follow the wizard, one step at a time, filling in the choices it offers.
  3. Check the sheet building itself as you go.
  4. When you're done, save the character to your account.
  5. Export the sheet as a PDF to print it or hand it to your player.

Generic or Eberron

The creator serves two contexts with the same 5e engine:

  • Generic — for any D&D campaign not tied to a specific world.
  • Eberron — when your campaign is set in Eberron. Eberron is also one of the settings available elsewhere in GMB (chat, tools, generators).

Portrait, saving and export

Here too you can attach a portrait generated with GMB to the character, with the right crop. The finished sheet stays in your library under Characters and you can export it as a PDF at any time.

Heads up: 3.5 chat, 5e sheet

Remember that in GMB the Master AI chat works over D&D 3.5 manuals (the lore), while this sheet creator is in 5e. The two are not meant to line up: it's a deliberate choice, explained on the two-editions page.
