Sign up & sign in
For now GameMasterBuddy is a closed beta: signing in isn't enough, you first have to sign up and be approved by an administrator. The path is simple and you do it only once. Here are all the steps, from request to first sign-in.
Sign up for the beta
On the public GameMasterBuddy page you look for the "Sign up for the beta" button and fill in the form:
- Open the site and click Sign up for the beta.
- Enter your email (use the same Google email you'll later sign in with) and the other details the form asks for.
- Submit the request.
Your request lands in a list that the administrator reviews. There's no need to submit again: one request is enough.
Sign in with Google
GMB uses Google sign-in, so you don't have to create or remember a new password:
- Click Sign in and pick your Google account.
- The first time, Google asks your consent to share your name and email with the app: this is normal, accept to continue.
- Important: sign-in only works if you've already submitted the beta request with that same email. If you try to sign in without having signed up, the app sends you back to the sign-up form with your email pre-filled.
The "pending" account and approval
As soon as you register, your account is created as pending. In this state:
- You have 0 credits.
- The tools that require AI are locked.
- You see a message telling you that you're awaiting approval.
When the administrator approves your request, your account becomes free: you receive a confirmation email (bilingual IT/EN) and from that moment you get weekly credits and can use the features. From then on you just sign in with Google to come back.
If you get stuck
- "You're pending": it means registration went through but the admin hasn't approved you yet. Wait for the approval email.
- Sign-in sends you back to the form: it means there's no beta request under that email. Complete the sign-up first.
- You want to change your email: sign up with the Google email you'll actually use to sign in, so the two match.
